With an MID you overroll a bunch with either a natural or homogenized wrapper. The natural wrapper can be cut at the machine or can be pre-cut and put on bobbins. This bobbins will then be placed on the MID which unrolls the bobbin and wraps the leaf around the bunch. The homogenized wrapper is always cut on the MID. The bunches which are used are produced on a different machine.

The Ensa built MID is using the latest technology and is the top in it’s segment. While staying with the original mechanical and cam movements the speed of this machine can be increased to 160 cigars a minute (80 double). By following this “old”  principle it makes production, adjusting and maintenance easier to understand for operator as well as technicians.

The features of /options on the MIDE:

  • A full stainless steel rolling device equipped with stainless steel bearings in order to exclude play (zero tolerance) and guarantee a long lifetime.
  • Drying of the cigars can be done within the drying box which uses the exhaust air of the machine.
  • An infrared dryer can also be placed above the out feed of the machine.
  • The out feed of the cigars can be controlled by a trayloader or conveyor belt.
  • An electrical glue pump to apply glue with high accuracy.
  • PLC controlled (type PLC can be chosen by customer).
  • Touch-screen to make operation easier and for electrical adjusting and data-log.
  • Electrical side adjustment wrapper with positioning of the wrapper by stepping motor.
  • Flavor attachment through rolling device.
  • Glueing by glue needle, tensionplate or via leafcarrier.
  • Trimming cigars on machine.
  • Fully guarded with minimally diminishing access to the machine.
